These are our rather swanky printed fabric badges, custom printed with your design.
What are those I hear you say? Well, normally pin badges have a see through shiny plastic cover on the front of them... our printed fabric badges have a lovely material cover that gives them a textured matt finish quite unlike normal badges.

Basically, they're really lovely things. I don't know quite how to describe them, they have a feel that's much more crafted and special, they're quite unique.
You can use whatever combination of text, colours, photos, graphics etc you want on them, the same as you would with normal badges.
Here's one of the fabric badges upclose and personal... if you look closely you can see the texture and weave of the fabric.
You can have up to five designs with orders of over 100 and we can also make printed fabric mirrors.
The fabric badges are available in either 25mm or 45mm sizes and you can design these badges the same way you would normalbadges, just use our
artwork & instructions page.

5) Email me to say that you've paid and I'll send you a confirmation email.
6) Receive your fabric badges (normally within 7-14 days of me receiving finished artwork and payment).

The printed fabric badge manufacturing process is quite an "analogue" one, compared to making standard badges.
This means that there can be some variation in positioning, detail and colour compared with what you see on the screen and this can vary from badge to badge within the same design.
We try and get things as near to your original artwork as we can but this isn't always possible. If you want a precise, perfect reproduction, colour matched process, this isn't one for you. Please bear this in mind.
We do not recommend designs where text etc is in a circular shape round the edge of the badges as if there is movement when they are made this can cause the design to look off centre.
Designs can come out slightly darker with the printed fabric badges than they appear on the screen, so we don't recommend badges with dark, fine detail and/or where there is not much difference/contrast between the logo/text and the background.
Due to the nature of the weave of the fabric, very small details may not print with the same amount of detail as they would on paper/that you see on the screen.

I accept artwork as PSD, JPG, GIF, TIFF, BMP.
JPEGS:
If you're saving files as JPEGS set the quality to 12 and Maximum, otherwise you'll get a fuzzy looking badge.
RESOLUTION:
Please make your files 300 dpi (dots per inch).
If you're using Photoshop you use this menu:
Image > Image Size drop down menu across the top of the screen.
Anything less than 300 dpi, such as web images, can look okay on screen but may look fuzzy when they're printed out.

That's everything you need to know and do but in case you need some more artwork guidance, there's more information and examples below.
Red line: this is the edge of the front of the badge.
Green line: is where we'll cut your design. The bit between the red and green line curves round the back of the badge once it's made.
On the left is an example of how that works:1) The text is within the blue line.
2) The background yellow colour goes all the way to the green line.
The yellow colour could also be a background image/pattern.
3) The red line is just to show you where the edge of the front of the badge is.
The text doesn't go all the way to the red line/front of the badge because you need to leave a bit of space to allow for the curve of the badge.
Green, blue and red lines should not be in the design you send.

1) WHAT KINDS OF FABRIC CAN I USE?
We can use a variety of different fabrics. Generally something like a shirt or cotton material is ideal. Something you might find in a tablecloth. Curtain fabric that's not too heavy. Not fluffy woolen or stretch materials.
2) WHAT WEIGHT CAN THE FABRIC BE?
Thickness/weight wise we would advise from normal shirt fabric up to a medium weight/thickness shirt fabric or similar.
3) HOW MANY DIFFERENT KINDS/PATTERNS OF FABRIC CAN I USE?
As many as you want but each piece will need to be at least 12cm by 10.5cm. Ideally at least A5 size (approx 15cm* 10.5cm).
4) HOW MUCH FABRIC WILL I NEED?
100 * 25mm badges will use approximately 4 * A4 sheets of fabric (29.7cm * 21cm).
200 * 45mm badges will use approximately 10 * A4 sheets of fabric (29.7cm * 21cm).
You will need more than that overall area if you're going to send lots of different pieces of fabric.
5) CAN YOU RETURN UNUSED FABRIC TO ME?
Yes, though we may have to charge you extra postage.
